Today, we're going to be diving into a paper that is actually a follow-up to our episode 5 story on unbreakable hexagonal diamonds. This paper was published in Nature on March 4th of 2026 from three Chinese teams from Zhengzhou, Nanjing, and Henan universities. As always, we're going to learn about the science from the ground up today on this follow-up episode because this is from first principles.
